The difference between Option and Switch
When used as nouns, option means one of a set of choices that can be made, whereas switch means a device to turn electric current on and off or direct its flow.
When used as verbs, option means to purchase an option on something, whereas switch means to exchange.
Switch is also adjective with the meaning: pertaining to riding with the front and back feet swapped round compared to one's normal position.
