The difference between Crop and Switch
When used as nouns, crop means a plant, especially a cereal, grown to be harvested as food, livestock fodder or fuel or for any other economic purpose, whereas switch means a device to turn electric current on and off or direct its flow.
When used as verbs, crop means to remove the top end of something, especially a plant, whereas switch means to exchange.
Switch is also adjective with the meaning: pertaining to riding with the front and back feet swapped round compared to one's normal position.
