The difference between One and You

When used as pronouns, one means one thing (among a group of others), whereas you means the people spoken, or written to, as an object.

When used as verbs, one means to cause to become one, whereas you means to address (a person) using the pronoun you, rather than thou, especially historically when you was more formal.
