The difference between Oligosaccharide and Trisaccharide
When used as nouns, oligosaccharide means a polysaccharide of low molecular weight, being a polymer of between three and eight monosaccharide units, whereas trisaccharide means an oligosaccharide consisting of three monosaccharide units joined together.
