The difference between Monomath and Specialist
When used as nouns, monomath means a person with an extensive knowledge of a single subject or field, but little knowledge of others, whereas specialist means someone who is an expert in, or devoted to, some specific branch of study or research.
Specialist is also adjective with the meaning: specialised.
