The difference between Middle and Midst

When used as nouns, middle means a centre, midpoint, whereas midst means a place in the middle of something.


Middle is also verb with the meaning: to double (a rope) into two equal portions.

Middle is also adjective with the meaning: located in the middle.

Midst is also preposition with the meaning: among, in the middle of.
