The difference between Lagging and Leading
When used as nouns, lagging means the covering of something with strips of felt, wood etc, either as insulation or for protection, whereas leading means an act by which one is led or guided.
When used as adjectives, lagging means falling behind, not keeping up the pace, whereas leading means providing guidance or direction.
