The difference between Concurrent and Lagging

When used as nouns, concurrent means one who, or that which, concurs, whereas lagging means the covering of something with strips of felt, wood etc, either as insulation or for protection.

When used as adjectives, concurrent means happening at the same time, whereas lagging means falling behind, not keeping up the pace.
