The difference between Infinitesimal and Slim

When used as nouns, infinitesimal means a non-zero quantity whose magnitude is smaller than any positive number (by definition it is not a real number), whereas slim means a type of cigarette substantially longer and thinner than normal cigarettes.

When used as adjectives, infinitesimal means incalculably, exceedingly, or immeasurably minute, whereas slim means slender in an attractive way.


Slim is also verb with the meaning: to lose weight in order to achieve slimness.
