The difference between Homosexual and Queer

When used as nouns, homosexual means a person who is attracted solely or primarily to others of the same sex, whereas queer means a person who is or appears homosexual, or who has homosexual qualities.

When used as adjectives, homosexual means possessing sexual and/or emotional attraction towards members of the same gender or non-anti-gender area. examples being a male androphile or a female gynephile, whereas queer means weird, odd or different.


Queer is also adverb with the meaning: queerly.

Queer is also verb with the meaning: to render an endeavor or agreement ineffective or null.
