The difference between Hamstring and Hock

When used as nouns, hamstring means one of the great tendons situated in each side of the ham, or space back of the knee, and connected with the muscles of the back of the thigh, whereas hock means a rhenish wine, of a light yellow color, either sparkling or still, from the hochheim region.

When used as verbs, hamstring means to lame or disable by cutting the tendons of the ham or knee, whereas hock means to disable by cutting the tendons of the hock.
