The difference between Graduate student and Postgraduate
When used as nouns, graduate student means a university student, usually already possessing a four-year degree, who is working on a master's degree or ph.d, whereas postgraduate means a person continuing to study in a field after having successfully completed a degree course.
Postgraduate is also adjective with the meaning: of studies which take place after having successfully completed a degree course.
