The difference between Forefix and Prefix

When used as nouns, forefix means a prefix, whereas prefix means a morpheme added to the beginning of a word to modify its meaning, for example as, pre- in prefix, con- in conjure, re- in reheat, etc.

When used as verbs, forefix means to fix or secure in advance, whereas prefix means to determine beforehand.
