The difference between Affix and Prefix
When used as nouns, affix means that which is affixed, whereas prefix means a morpheme added to the beginning of a word to modify its meaning, for example as, pre- in prefix, con- in conjure, re- in reheat, etc.
When used as verbs, affix means to attach, whereas prefix means to determine beforehand.
