The difference between Familiar and Personal

When used as nouns, familiar means an attendant spirit, often in animal or even demon form, whereas personal means an advertisement by which individuals attempt to meet others with similar interests.

When used as adjectives, familiar means known to one, whereas personal means pertaining to human beings as distinct from things.
