The difference between Exceptional and Mediocre
When used as nouns, exceptional means an exception, or something having an exceptional value, whereas mediocre means a person of minor significance, accomplishment or acclaim.
When used as adjectives, exceptional means forming an exception, whereas mediocre means having no peculiar or outstanding features.
