The difference between Excellent and Mediocre

When used as adjectives, excellent means of the highest quality, whereas mediocre means having no peculiar or outstanding features.


Excellent is also adverb with the meaning: excellently.

Mediocre is also noun with the meaning: a person of minor significance, accomplishment or acclaim.
