The difference between Ethnic cleansing and Genocide
When used as nouns, ethnic cleansing means the mass expulsion or killing of people belonging to one ethnic or religious group by those of another, whereas genocide means the systematic killing of substantial numbers of people on the basis of their ethnicity, religion, political beliefs, social status, or other particularities.
Genocide is also verb with the meaning: to commit genocide (against).
