The difference between Emasculate and Spay

When used as verbs, emasculate means to deprive of virile or procreative power, whereas spay means to remove or destroy the ovaries (of an animal) so that it cannot become pregnant.


Emasculate is also adjective with the meaning: deprived of virility or vigor.
