The difference between Dimension and Scope

When used as nouns, dimension means a single aspect of a given thing, whereas scope means the breadth, depth or reach of a subject.

When used as verbs, dimension means to mark, cut or shape something to specified dimensions, whereas scope means to perform a cursory investigation, as to scope out.
