The difference between Dimension and Proportion

When used as nouns, dimension means a single aspect of a given thing, whereas proportion means a quantity of something that is part of the whole amount or number.

When used as verbs, dimension means to mark, cut or shape something to specified dimensions, whereas proportion means to set or render in proportion.
