The difference between Deuterated water and Semi-heavy water
When used as nouns, deuterated water means water in which one or both protium hydrogens is replaced by atoms of deuterium hydrogen by restriction, heavy water (d2o) by restriction, semi-heavy water, deuterium-protium water (2h1ho), whereas semi-heavy water means dho, a heavier form of water, containing a protium and a deuterium type of hydrogen atoms.
