The difference between Derogatory and Pejorative
When used as nouns, derogatory means a trade-line on a credit report that includes negative credit history, whereas pejorative means a disparaging, belittling, or derogatory word or expression.
When used as adjectives, derogatory means tending to derogate, or lessen in value of someone, whereas pejorative means disparaging, belittling or derogatory.
