The difference between Crude and Refined

When used as nouns, crude means any substance in its natural state, whereas refined means the refined form of a commodity, as opposed to its raw or generic form.

When used as adjectives, crude means in a natural, untreated state, whereas refined means sagacious, sometimes oversubtle or feigning sagacity.
