The difference between Crude and Gross

When used as nouns, crude means any substance in its natural state, whereas gross means twelve dozen = 144.

When used as adjectives, crude means in a natural, untreated state, whereas gross means highly or conspicuously offensive.


Gross is also verb with the meaning: to earn money, not including expenses.
