The difference between Create and Invent

When used as verbs, create means to bring into existence out of nothing, without the prior existence of the materials or elements used, whereas invent means to design a new process or mechanism.


Create is also adjective with the meaning: created, resulting from creation.

    To be or do something creative, imaginative, originative.
