The difference between Create and Imitate

When used as verbs, create means to bring into existence out of nothing, without the prior existence of the materials or elements used, whereas imitate means to follow as a model or a pattern.


Create is also adjective with the meaning: created, resulting from creation.

  1. Create as a verb (transitive):

    Examples:

  2. Create as a verb (transitive):

    To cause, to bring (a non-object) about by an action, behavior, or event, to occasion.

    To be or do something creative, imaginative, originative.

    To make a fuss, complain; to shout.
