The difference between Copper and Malachite

When used as nouns, copper means a reddish-brown, malleable, ductile metallic element with high electrical and thermal conductivity, symbol cu, and atomic number 29, whereas malachite means a bright green mineral, a basic copper carbonate, cu2co3(oh)2.

When used as adjectives, copper means made of copper, whereas malachite means of a colour ranging from olive-taupe to a mild to deeply-rich (at times seemingly translucent) green, like that of the mineral which is present on oxidized copper.
