The difference between Comfortable and Comforting

When used as nouns, comfortable means a stuffed or quilted coverlet for a bed, whereas comforting means the act of giving comfort.

When used as adjectives, comfortable means providing physical comfort and ease, whereas comforting means giving comfort.
