The difference between Chili pepper and Paprika

When used as nouns, chili pepper means any fruit of a plant of the botanical genus capsicum, which has a spicy/burning flavour because it contains capsaicin, whereas paprika means powdered spice made from dried and ground fruits of sweet pepper (bell pepper) or chili pepper (cultivars of capsicum annuum), or mixtures of these (used especially in hungarian cooking).
