The difference between Characteristic and Specific
When used as nouns, characteristic means a distinguishing feature of a person or thing, whereas specific means a distinguishing attribute or quality.
When used as adjectives, characteristic means being a distinguishing feature of a person or thing, whereas specific means explicit or definite.
