The difference between Borrow and Give back

When used as verbs, borrow means to receive (something) from somebody temporarily, expecting to return it, whereas give back means to return, restore (a thing to its original owner or location etc.).


Borrow is also noun with the meaning: deviation of the path of a rolling ball from a straight line.
