The difference between Bird and Chick

When used as nouns, bird means a member of the class of animals aves in the phylum chordata, characterized by being warm-blooded, having feathers and wings usually capable of flight, and laying eggs, whereas chick means a young bird.

When used as verbs, bird means to observe or identify wild birds in their natural environment, whereas chick means to sprout, as seed does in the ground.
