The difference between Asexual and Epicene
When used as nouns, asexual means a species which reproduces by asexual rather than sexual reproduction, or a member of such a species, whereas epicene means an epicene word.
When used as adjectives, asexual means not sexual in nature, not marked by sexual activity. (compare platonic.), whereas epicene means of or related to a class of greek and latin nouns that may refer to men or women but have a fixed grammatical gender.
