The difference between Apt and Prompt

When used as nouns, apt means an apartment, whereas prompt means a reminder or cue.

When used as adjectives, apt means suitable, whereas prompt means quick.


Prompt is also verb with the meaning: to lead (someone) toward what they should say or do.
