The difference between Apt and Meet

When used as nouns, apt means an apartment, whereas meet means a sports competition, especially for track and field (a track meet) or swimming (a swim meet).

When used as adjectives, apt means suitable, whereas meet means suitable.


Meet is also verb with the meaning: to come face to face with by accident.
