The difference between Anguish and Torment
When used as nouns, anguish means extreme pain, either of body or mind, whereas torment means a catapult or other kind of war-engine.
When used as verbs, anguish means to suffer pain, whereas torment means to cause severe suffering to (stronger than to vex but weaker than to torture.).
