The difference between Veteran and Young

When used as nouns, veteran means a person with long experience of a particular activity, whereas young means people who are young.

When used as adjectives, veteran means having had long experience, practice, or service, whereas young means in the early part of growth or life.


Young is also verb with the meaning: to become or seem to become younger.
