When used as nouns, vagabond means a person on a trip of indeterminate destination and/or length of time, whereas vagrant means a person without a home.
When used as adjectives, vagabond means floating about without any certain direction, whereas vagrant means moving without certain direction.
Vagabond is also verb with the meaning: to roam, as a vagabond.
