The difference between Under and Upper

When used as adjectives, under means being lower, whereas upper means at a higher level, rank or position.


Under is also preposition with the meaning: in or at a lower level than.

Under is also adverb with the meaning: in a way lower or less than.

Upper is also noun with the meaning: that which is higher, contrasted with the lower.
