The difference between Strong and Sturdy

When used as adjectives, strong means capable of producing great physical force, whereas sturdy means of firm build.


Strong is also adverb with the meaning: in a strong manner.

Sturdy is also noun with the meaning: a disease in sheep and cattle, caused by a tapeworm and marked by great nervousness or by dullness and stupor.
