The difference between Stability and Stasis

When used as nouns, stability means the condition of being stable or in equilibrium, and thus resistant to change, whereas stasis means a slackening or arrest of the blood current, due not to a lessening of the heart's beat, but to some abnormal resistance of the capillary walls.
