The difference between Software and Warez
When used as nouns, software means encoded computer instructions, usually modifiable (unless stored in some form of unalterable memory such as rom), whereas warez means software that is illegally obtained or distributed.
Warez is also verb with the meaning: to obtain a copy of (software or other works of authorship) illegally.
