The difference between Soda water and Tonic water
When used as nouns, soda water means carbonated water, water that has carbon dioxide dissolved in it and has been stored under pressure in a bottle. usually mixed before drinking with another beverage, whereas tonic water means a carbonated beverage containing quinine, originally used as a prophylactic against malaria, and now mainly used as a mixer in gin and tonic and other cocktails.
