The difference between Short form and Summary
When used as nouns, short form means a word with the same meaning as another formed by removing one or more of the syllables of the longer word, and considered a word in its own right rather than an abbreviation, whereas summary means an abstract or a condensed presentation of the substance of a body of material.
Summary is also adjective with the meaning: concise, brief or presented in a condensed form.
