The difference between Save and Write
When used as nouns, save means in various sports, a block that prevents an opponent from scoring, whereas write means the operation of storing data, as in memory or onto disk.
When used as verbs, save means to help (somebody) to survive, or rescue (somebody or something) from harm, whereas write means to form letters, words or symbols on a surface in order to communicate.
Save is also conjunction with the meaning: unless.
