The difference between Resident and Stranger

When used as nouns, resident means a person, animal or plant living at a certain location or in a certain area, whereas stranger means a person whom one does not know.


Resident is also adjective with the meaning: dwelling, or having an abode, in a place for a continued length of time.

Stranger is also verb with the meaning: to estrange.
