The difference between Refined and Sophisticated

When used as adjectives, refined means sagacious, sometimes oversubtle or feigning sagacity, whereas sophisticated means having obtained worldly experience, and lacking naiveté.


Refined is also noun with the meaning: the refined form of a commodity, as opposed to its raw or generic form.
