The difference between Rebuke and Scold

When used as nouns, rebuke means a harsh criticism, whereas scold means a person who habitually scolds, in particular a troublesome and angry woman.

When used as verbs, rebuke means to criticise harshly, whereas scold means to rebuke angrily.
