The difference between Prosthesis and Prothesis
When used as nouns, prosthesis means an artificial replacement for a body part, either internal or external, whereas prothesis means the prepending of phonemes at the beginning of a word without changing its morphological structure, as in spanish from latin (expected form would be *).
